The Aliko Dangote Foundation is on a mission to reduce the prevalence of under nutrition by 60 percent in the neediest areas of Nigeria, specifically the North East and North West, where malnutrition has affected millions of lives and crippled the local economy.

With this US$100 Million commitment, the Aliko Dangote Foundation will promote scalable and cost-effective nutrition interventions such as breast feeding, healthy sanitation practices, disease prevention, food fortification and supplementation.

The Federal High Court, Abuja, has declared the suspension of Sen.Ali Ndume by the Senate as illegal and ordered that Ndume be paid all his outstanding salaries and allowances.

Justice Babatunde Quadri in his judgment on Friday, set aside the suspension and ordered that Ndume be allowed to resume his duties in the senate as a senator.

Members of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group said they may resume daily protest to the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday. The group said the move became necessary followed the deafening silence of the Presidency over the release of the remaining Chibok girls in Boko Haram captivity. It maintained that since the Federal Government facilitated the release of 82 girls in May, 2017, nothing has been heard on ongoing efforts toward securing the release of the other girls.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has demanded Nigeria’s exit from all religious organisations.

CAN President, Reverend Samson Ayokunle, made the demand on Friday when he led a delegation from the association to the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, ChannelsTV reported.

The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate customs duties remitted by commercial banks to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) since January. The decision followed the adoption of a motion entitled, “Need to Investigate the Customs Duties Remitted by Commercial Banks to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from January 2014 till Date, sponsored by Rep. Jerry Alagbaoso and 11 others.
