Popular Kannywood actor and movie Director, Aminu Surajo Bono has died. Bono is said to have collapsed on Monday evening and was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead by doctors. His colleagues in the movie industry confirm the incident on Social media. Actor Ali Nuhu, in an Instagram post on Monday wrote: “May God have mercy on Aminu S Bono and make paradise your final abode.”

Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has announced plans to take time off his musical field now considering a career in sports. The multi–award–winning star made this known in a series of Instagram posts on Sunday, while reacting to a threat made by one of his fans who pressured him into releasing a new song. Lagos state police command has yesterday announced it has arrested the controversial singer, Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley, over role he played in a circumstance that lead to the death of his former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known As Mohbad. This was made known by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.”

The MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) has called off its ceremony slated for next month, citing the Israel-Hamas war. The body of late Singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad) has been exhumed by the Lagos State Police Command along with some health officials so as to unravel the cause of the death. This disclosure was made known by the state Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who on Thursday 21st of September 2023 confirmed to correspondents that "The exhumation is currently ongoing. We have here a team of health officials from the state ministry of health led by CP Owohunwa. The CP is also expected to visit Mohbad’s father later in the day”

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has added Liverpool’s Maritime Mercantile City to the list of removed heritage sites and third to be delisted since the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary, Oman, in 2007 and Elbe Valley in Dresden, Germany in 2009. The move follows concerns raised in 2012 about the proposed development of disused dockland near the city centre, which a UNESCO committee decided were “detrimental to the site’s authenticity and integrity”.
