The Presidency has denied claims that President Muhammadu Buhari visit to the South-East region is politically motivated.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina rejected the claims in a phone interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Monday defended the decision of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai to sack over 22, 000 teachers, who recently failed the competency test conducted by the state government.

Buhari at the special retreat of the Federal Executive Council on the challenges facing the Education sector in Nigeria said what El-Rufai is doing is to rid Education in the state of rot and decay.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha has visited former Nigerian Vice-President, Dr Alex Ekwueme in a London hospital. Mustapha conveyed President Muhammadu Buhari’s goodwill message to Dr Ekwueme.

Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has said that he will on Wednesday sue the Federal Government following his involvement in a road accident. The human rights lawyer had broken his leg after falling into a manhole while walking to his office in Abuja. He promised that he would not leave the matter to God like the ordinary Nigerian would, but will sue the government on Wednesday (Tomorrow).

Senate Approves Buhari’s $5.5b Loan Request

The Senate has approved the $5.5 billion loan request presented by the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The international media arm of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Radio Biafra, has resumed operations. But instead of the fiery rhetoric with which it was associated with, the radio announced the sack of Nnamdi Kanu, as director and leader of IPOB. The Radio Biafra’s programme started between 6am -7am on Sunday with the lady announcer, who gave her name as Ifeoma Okorafor, stating that the radio was restructuring.
