YIAGA AFRICA, a civil society organization (CSO), accredited to monitor the last general elections on Friday predicted low voter turnout in 11 states where rerun polls are ongoing. In a statement issued by Samson Itodo, YIAGA executive director, the group said the police and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are facing another integrity test.

Mr Emeka Ihedioha, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who is also the sacked Governor of Imo State, has said despite the Supreme Court upturning his victory as the Governor of Imo state, he disclosed his faith remain strong in the Nigerian democracy. Ihedioha stated this on Sunday when he received members of the National Working Committee (NWC) lead by the Party Chairman, Mr Uche Secondus who paid him a solidarity visit at his Abuja residence.
