Buhari Returns To Abuja After State Visit To Lagos

Following a successful state visit to Lagos, President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after inaugurating some developmental projects executed by the Lagos State Government. President Buhari and his entourage departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at exactly 3:20 pm en route to Abuja.

ASUU Berates APC Over Position On The Leadership Of 9th National Assembly

The Chairman of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Abada, has criticized moves by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to impose the leadership of the 9th National Assembly.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it has further suspended proceedings and actions on the Imo North senatorial election result, which had earlier been declared inconclusive. The commission made its position known in a statement signed by Mallam Mohammed Haruna, INEC National Commissioner and Member, Information and Voter Education Committee.
