EPL Sets June 17 As Resumption Date

Premier League Shareholders has agreed to a new provisional restart date for the 2019/20 season of Wednesday 17 June, provided that all safety requirements are in place. Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal postponed due to the Carabao Cup final, will now take place on 17 June, followed by a full match round beginning on Friday 19 June.

Super Eagles German coach Gernot Rohr has agreed to a contract extension that will see him in charge of the team until after the Qatar 2022 Worldcup. The gaffer who is on the verge of becoming the longest-serving Head Coach/ Technical Adviser since the creation of the men's football team (Only Clemens Westerhof has coached for more than 4years) has agreed to a two and a half year contract extension with the Nigeria football federation.

La Liga To Return From June 8 - Spanish Prime Minister

Spanish La Liga has officially been given the green light to resume in June. The country Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said La Liga can return as early as June 8, although June 12 or June 19 will be targeted for action to officially resume, pending an announcement from La Liga president Javier Tebas.

Manchester United and Liverpool Football Clubs have on Wednesday resumed group training ahead of the return of the Premier League. According to Man Utd website, Premier League clubs made the unanimous decision to return to small group training as steps towards restarting matchday schedule.

The English Premier League (EPL) has received the green light from the UK government to resume next month. The government permitted the return of sport in the country from June 1st as long as it is broadcast from behind closed doors, "while avoiding the risk of large-scale social contact."
