Ahead Of 2023: Fashola Called On APC To Honour Its Earlier Zoning Agreement

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola has called on the All Progressive Congress (APC) to respect its earlier agreement of the 2015 on zoning ahead of the 2023 general election. Fashola stated these yesterday following insinuations that some APC stalwarts were planning to rescind on the agreement of power zoning formula from North to Southern part of the country after expiration of president Buhari tenure. According to a source in the party, a block within the party wants to grab the power against the earlier arrangement from the mother party. The Minster while speaking to newsmen from his office yesterday urged the leaders of the party to respect the gentleman agreement reached in the 2015 on zoning.

Nigeria Records Fresh 155 Covid-19 Cases

Nigeria has recorded about 155 new Covid-19 cases bringing the total number of cases to 66,383 confirmed cases, with 62,076 recoveries. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the revelation on its website on Monday November 23. According to the health agency the death toll in the country has risen to 1167.

Bothered by the state of insecurity in the land, the Senate has tasked its committee on communication to invite the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami to discuss the resolution of the senate regarding his Ministry. The decision was necessitated by the growing insecurity in the land, according to Ezrel Tabiowo, Special Assistant to Senate president on press. Lamenting under order 42 and 52 of the red chamber over the rise of insecurity, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha (PDP Taraba South) noted that, the insecurity of the land is at the brink of collapsing. Scientists Found New Way To Create Diamonds In Room Temperature

An international group of scientists led by Australian National University and RMIT University in Melbourne, have created two types of diamonds at room temperature. One of the diamonds the team created is the typical type found in rings, jewelries, while the other diamond is called Lonsdaleite, which is found naturally at the site of meteorite impacts and is harder than most diamonds. The scientists made the diamonds at room temperature by using high pressure equivalent to 640 African elephants balancing on the tip of a ballet shoe.
