Meta has now surpassed three (3) billion daily active users across its apps, showing a 7% increase year-over-year. The biggest surge was seen in Instagram's "Threads", which has now reached over 150 million monthly active users, up from 130 million in February.

Meta, a parent company of Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Threads during its Q1 2024 earnings call made this disclosure. According to Billionaire founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, Threads, despite being relatively young at around nine months old, has steadily expanded its user base under Meta’s stewardship.

According to Zuckerberg, “Threads is growing well too. They're now more than 150 million monthly active users and it continues to generally be on the trajectory that I hope to see."

It can be recalled that Metalunched an artificial intelligence chatbot, named Meta AI. However, in the initial stage, the chatbot is being tested on the Metaverse line of products, which would include Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

"It's been a good start to the year. The new version of Meta AI with Llama 3 is another step towards building the world's leading AI. We're seeing healthy growth across our apps and we continue making steady progress building the metaverse as well."

Before concluding, Zuckerberg boasted that "more than 3.2 billion people use at least one of our apps each day and we're seeing healthy growth in the US.”
