The controversy surrounding the Monday arrest and release of Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is yet to be over as over 30 armed mobile policemen have reportedly stormed his residence in Maitama, Abuja probably seeking to rearrest him.

Kogi state Senator, Dino Melaye was on Tuesday arrested by operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in Abuja. According to Vanguard, the Senate Committee Chairman on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was this morning taken to the SARS detention facility located just opposite the old Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN junction along the Area 1 expressway.

The Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye says he will make himself available to the police today (Tuesday). Senator Melaye made this known on Tuesday through his verified twitter handle. His tweet read  "I will make myself available to the police today. My resolve to speak the truth and defend the poor masses of NIGERIA is Total. We shall overcome!!!"

The speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara has said the House is investigating the Special Presidential Investigation Panel to ascertain where it got the powers to investigate public officers as it is not among the agencies listed to discharge such function in the constitution.
