Following widespread reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may have tampered with the voter registration guidelines in some states in the northern part of the country to allow for underage registration especially in Kano, the Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has issued a statement to put the matter in proper perspective.
