President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday evening revealed some of the issues he discussed with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, during a meeting held at the State House. The President through his verified Twitter handle said he briefed them on his meeting with President Donald Trump and also discussed the 2018 budget.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, says it has concluded plans to disqualify some governorship aspirants following their perceived involvement in the disruption of the Ekiti governorship primary. The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, made this known on Monday while responding to questions at the APC National Secretariat, in Abuja.

The River state chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Davies Ikanya, has condemned the attack on the party’ secretariat describing the incident as “barbaric and unbelievable”. Vigil360 had reported how the party's ward congress became violent after some thugs invaded the party secretariat along Moscow Road in Port Harcourt, vandalizing properties and disrupting activities.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the violence that characterized the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congress across the country on Saturday. The party in a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja by its national publicity secretary, Kola Ologboniyan called for peace in electoral processes.

A Presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie has taken to the social media to explain why President Muhammadu Buhari should be reelected by Nigerians in the 2019 general elections. Onochie who was reacting to a recent comment made by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo at Akure said the country’s economy is safe in the hands of President Muhammadu Buharia and his vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.
