President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday evening revealed some of the issues he discussed with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, during a meeting held at the State House. The President through his verified Twitter handle said he briefed them on his meeting with President Donald Trump and also discussed the 2018 budget.
In a series of Tweets, he also assured Nigerians of his resolve to deliver good governance to the people. Some of the Tweets read;
“This afternoon, on my return from Daura, I met with the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, at the State House.
“I briefed them on my recent trip to the US to meet with President Trump, and we also discussed the 2018 budget.
“We will continue to engage to resolve issues and ensure that our common goal of leadership and service, for the good of the country, is not undermined or sidetracked in any way.
“This leadership is what Nigerians elected us to deliver, and we will not let you down"
