The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola is expected to swear in 11 new justices of the Supreme Court following their confirmation by the Senate in December 2023.
The Justices scheduled for swearing-in are Justice Jummai Hannatu Sankey (North-Central), Justice Stephen Jonah Adah (North-Central), Justice Mohammed Baba Idris (North-East), Justice Haruna Tsammani (North-East), Justice Jamilu Tukur (North-West) and Justice Abubakar Umar (North-West).
Others are Justice Chidebere Uwa (South-East), Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme (South-East), Justice Obande Festus Ogbuinya (South-East), Justice Moore Adumein (South-South), Justice Habeeb Asewale Abiru (South-West).
