The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), led by Ibrahim Magu, of frustrating the Federal Government’s anti-graft war.  The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, today emerged as Chairperson, Board of Governors of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development, EBID. Mrs. Adeosun’s emergence came at the end of the 15th Ordinary Meeting of the board of governors of the bank in Abuja. She succeeds her counterpart from the Republic of Niger, Hassoumi Massoudou.

APC Wades Into Kogi Intra-Party Crisis

Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has inaugurated a seven-member reconciliation committee for the party’s Kogi chapter. According to a statement issued by Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, the APC National Publicity Secretary, the committee is chaired by Gen. Idris Garba, while the party’s Deputy National Secretary, Mr. Victor Giadom would be its Secretary.

Boko Haram: Use Of Kids As ‘Human Bombs’ Soars In 2017

UNICEF has expressed extreme concern about the appalling increase in the cruel and calculated use of children, especially girls, as ‘human bombs’ in northeast Nigeria. In a report released on Tuesday, UNICEF said children have been used repeatedly in this way over the last few years and so far this year, the number of children used is already four times higher than it was for all of the last years.

Cross River: Police Free Abducted Pakistanis

The two Pakistanis abducted in Calabar area have been rescued by the Nigerian Police, Mr. Azim Khan, Head of Chancery, Pakistan High Commission has announced. Khan told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja that the Police rescued the two victims, Azeem Alikhan and Rehan Siddique and captured the kidnappers.
