President Buhari Resumes Work

President Muhammadu Buhari has resumed duties few hours after addressing the nation, following his return from medical vacation in London. A State House Press release signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adeshina, disclosed that the President has notified the National Assembly in writing, of his return and resumption of duties.

Newly Registered APDA In Crisis

Barely a week after it expelled some staunch members, the newly registered Advanced People’s Democratic Party (APDA) has suspended its Ekiti state chairman, Mrs. Foluke Okeya. The party which had been suspected to be alternate People’s Democratic Party (PDP) sacked three members, including one of its founder and media guru, Chief Reymond Dokpesi.

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has lost a principal aide, Dr Tavershima Adyorough, who was shot and killed by gunmen who invaded his Makurdi residence about 12.30am Sunday. Dr Adyorough was Principal Special Assistant on Knowledge Economy and Investments to Governor Ortom.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has returned from London on board Nigeria Air Force One jet, after spending more than 100 days receiving treatment. The President who left Abuja on May 7, for the British capital to receive medical care arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport in Abuja on Saturday and walked briskly to the podium to receive the national salute.
