The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has explained that the recent cut-off point approved by the Board was intended to end subsisting cases of irregularities associated with admission across public universities in the country. The Board made this disclosure on Monday in statement issued by the Head of Public Affairs, Fabian Benjamin.

I Have Not Dumped APC – Andy Uba

Senator Andy Uba has said that he had not left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or any other party over the outcome of the Anambra governorship primaries. Uba while addressing newsmen at his country home in Uga, Anambra state, debunked rumors making the rounds that he planned to dump the APC for a new party.

A former Nigerian Senator, who represented Katsina North Senatorial District of Katsina state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 2003 and 2011 is dead. The 72-year-old Sen. Bello died this morning in Abuja.

Unilorin Gets New Vice Chancellor

The management of the University of Ilorin has appointed Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem of the Department of Chemical Engineering as its 10th Vice-Chancellor. The university’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Abdullahi Oyekan, announced the appointment on Monday at a press briefing.
