Nigerian Air Force To Train Officers In Jordan

The Nigeria Air Force is sending some service men for training in Jordan to acquire further skills to strengthen the country’s defence operations. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, said that training and improvement of welfare were being accorded priority in the service.

Saraki Has Been Vindicated Over Missing $49bn – Aide

An aide to the President of the Senate Dr. Bukola Saraki has said that the Senate’s President has long been vindicated for calling out non-remittances in the oil sector. Special Assistant to Saraki on New Media, Bamikole Omishore in a statement said that he (Saraki) pointed out the non-remittance of $49 billion to the Federation Account by the former minister of Petroleum.

Doctors Withdraw Strike Notice

The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its plan to embark on a nationwide strike slated to begin on September 4. The resident doctors had earlier threatened to down tools by September 4th, 2017 unless the Federal Government meets their demand of immediate enrollment in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

Niger Delta Militants Withdraw Quit Notice to Northerners and Yorubas

A coalition of Niger Delta militants on Friday, withdrew the October 1 quit notice issued to Northerners and Yorubas to vacate the region, Vigil360 correspondent in the region reports. The Pan Niger Delta People’s Congress (PNDPC), a new group that claimed to have the mandate to negotiate for the Niger Delta with the Federal Government and other interested stakeholders, said the issuers of the quit notice gave them the mandate to withdraw it.
