The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked media reports that there were parallel congresses in some states of the federation, owing to internal crisis in the party in the affected states. The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi in a statement issued on Monday said that there was no such thing as parallel congress.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday welcomed the fusion of Coalition of Nigeria Movement, a political organization formed by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, into African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2019 general elections. The party in a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi said ADC was not a threat to the party's continuity agenda stressing that Nigerians still believe in the APC.
