Unknown Gunmen Kill Traditional Ruler In Taraba

A traditional ruler in Taraba State in Gassol Local Government Area of the state, Chief of Sansani, Alhaji Abdulmutallib Nuhu was killed by unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins. According to reliable sources, the gunmen in large numbers stormed the residence of the monarch on Thursday night at around 10 pm on motorcycles, went straight to the room the monarch was resting, and shot him several times without asking for anything.

Yahaya Bello: EFCC Surrounds Residence, Bello Reportedly Departs With Ododo

According to eye witness reports, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) surrounded the residence of the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, which is situated at Wuse Zone 4, Abuja since around 9:30 am on Wednesday. After hours of failing to secure his arrest, the EFCC operatives reportedly reinforced with support from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Department of State Services (DSS).

EFCC Declares Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello Wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared the immediate past governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, wanted for offenses relating to economic and financial crimes. This was contained in a notice posted on the commission’s official Facebook page on Thursday. “Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 bn. “Anybody with information as to his whereabouts should report immediately to the commission or the nearest police station,” the notice read.

Earlier today, Vigil 360 reported the arraignment of the celebrity barman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest over issues concerning naira abuse, Mr Okechukwu however pleaded not guilty to the three count charges slammed against him. Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos, on Wednesday, granted bail to a businessman and socialite, facing an allegation of abusing the Naira. The judge ordered him to produce two sureties in like sum who must be gainfully employed with the federal or state government and not less than grade level 16.
The sureties are to have landed property and the document must be verified by the court. Cubana Chief Priest is also to submit his travel passport to the custody of the court.
