Boko Haram terrorists on Friday attacked Garkida town in Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa State in search of foodstuff and pharmaceutical products. Reports fear many people have been killed as the terrorist shot sporadically and also set churches and houses ablaze while looting food items from the town.

The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the judgement of the Appeal Court against former Governor Jolly Nyame of Taraba state. The court had found him guilty of corruption charges and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
