The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed an additional 239 new coronavirus cases in the country.
The agency made this revelation on Saturday night through its official twitter handle.
A total of 4,151 is now the official toll of the confirmed cases in Nigeria recorded in 34 states and the FCT Abuja.
Meanwhile, the number of the death toll has increased from 117 to now 128 and recoveries have also jumped from 679 to 745.

Lagos state has continued to be the state with the highest toll of the COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country.
In a statement credited to the Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, he said he was not happy on how the residents are flaunting the COVID-19 guidelines, warning them if care is not taken, the state government will impose a total lockdown.
It was gathered that since the lockdown was partially lifted, Lagos residents have continued to flaunt all the guidelines for preventing the spread of the disease, especially, the social gathering.
The Governor was quoted saying;
“As a Government elected to uphold the security of its citizens, which include health security, we will not hesitate to review the terms of the easing of lockdown if we do not see an improvement in adherence to our public health guidelines in the next couple of days,” Sanwo-olu said.
“We will be forced to take a painful decision of bringing the entire system under lockdown if we continue to see evidence that Lagosians are determined to flout the rules.”
