Although Messi's Lionel Messi has debunked media reports that there is crack in Argentina team owing to positional similarities feud between him and Dybala, reports indicate that the feud actually exist and could consume Dybala's world cup dream. According to Fox Sports, Dybala has admitted finding it difficult to play alongside Messi because they both play the same role in their various club sides and have become use to it.

Speaking on the situation, Messi was quoted as saying;

“Paulo and I talked about that, what he said is true, for Juventus he plays the same role I do. With me in the national team he played further out on the left, which he’s not as used to. It’s more difficult for us to play there, I don’t often go out to the left. On the right we can cut in and have the whole pitch in front of us. I understood what he said, there was no need to clarify anything.”

Meanwhile, despite Dybala's impressive performance this season for Juventus, haven scored a total of 21 goals in all competition, Argentina Coach, Jorges Sampaoli is set to drop the player over the feud, probably to appease Messi.

Since making his debut in 2015, Dybala has barely made 12 appearances for Argentina.Speaking on the situation, Sampaoli said;

"It is complicated for Dybala to get used to our system. We couldn't improve his performances and we have to evaluate if the current players [in this squad] are better than Paulo or if we have to keep working with Paulo to improve his performance."
