A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt yesterday sentenced to death a Police Sergeant, Mr. Lucky Orji, David Chinasa Ogbada and Ikechukwu Louis Amadi, (aka Kapoon) for their active involvement in the murder of the four students of University of Port Harcourt.

The Federal Government is set to improve on the experiences of the 2017 Budget preparation process by using the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) in preparing the 2018 edition.

The Nigerian Air Force has deployed an attack helicopter with force protection elements and other logistics support to Kafanchan in Southern Kaduna State. 450 Special Forces

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), says it has commenced the training of 450 “carefully selected” regiment personnel as Special Forces. NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja, explained that the training would be conducted in three batches.

Hired thugs on Sunday attacked two senators representing Kaduna state, Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi in Kaduna during a press conference held at the Press Centre of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, kaduna. It was gathered that the thugs stormed the venue of the conference in unregistered buses before they started attacking journalists who were invited to cover the event.

The Caretaker Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi has escaped what would have been termed a ghastly motor accident along Abuja-Kaduna road. In a statement released on Friday the party's national publicity secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye said the vehicle conveying the PDP chief was involved in a multiple collision with other vehicles but Makarfi came out unhurt.
