The Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun has called on all party members in the state especially those seeking elective positions not to defect to other political parties after the conduct of primaries in order for the party to remain united and in power. Governor Amosun who stated this at a meeting with members of his party at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat, Abeokuta said those who lose primaries should quickly 'fall in line' so that the party can remain as one ahead of the elections.


He further begged for understanding and cooperation among all aspirants jostling for positions under the APC platform.


“There must be no rancor after the primaries. After the exercise, the campaign starts. I want to assure you that we shall definitely have something to use to campaign.”


Speaking, some of the members appealed to the Governor to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants in order to create sense of belonging among all party members.
