Human Right Activist and lawyer, Femi Falana, has admonished the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo not to sign the 2017 budget.  The radical lawyer who made the statement in Ilorin, Kwara State, questioned the powers of the National Assembly to increase its own share of the 2017 budget submitted by the President.

The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadiq Baba Abubakar, has reiterated that the Nigerian Air Force remains loyal to the nation and democratic system currently practiced in the country. The statement followed reports by the Chief of Army Staff that some disgruntled politicians were covertly approaching some military personnel to illegally effect a change in government.

The Legal Practitioner's Privilege Committee (LPPC) on Thursday released a 91- man list of lawyers for consideration for the award of the prestigious Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). The list includes the name of Akinlolu Osinbajo, brother to the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, renowned human Rights activist and politician, Festus Keyamo amongst others.

The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, yesterday signed three executive orders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The pro-business orders are designed to facilitate the ease of doing business in Nigeria as it targeted areas such as port operations, entry experience for tourists and Foreign investors as well as registration of businesses by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). According to the Acting President, the orders would "address efficiency in the business environment, local content in public procurement and timely submission of the budget".

Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday confirmed that another Chibok school girl had been found barely 12 days after the release of the 82 abducted girls by their captors.
