The All Progressive Congress (APC) has raised alarm alleging that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has resorted to using the foreign media organisation to demonise Nigerian Supreme Court Justices ahead of the hearing of the 2019 Presidential election Petition.
The APC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu made this allegation in Abuja on Monday while addressing journalists, describing the PDP action as unpatriotic and called for well-meaning Nigerians to rise against it.
This is coming in as the Presidential Election tribunal is set for the next hearing of the 2019 general election. The APC is making this claim to inform Nigerians on the path taken by the main opposition and its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in desperation for the power pulling down everything that Nigerian dignity stands for.
According to Issa-Onilu, the purpose of the main opposition party after they were rejected by Nigerians at the poll was to cause confusion and anarchy with the sole purpose of derailing the government from governance.
The APC secretary added that the PDP has made up its mind to pursue the destructive path against Nigerian in the next four years, describing the move as no longer an opposition but an unpatriotic agenda set to push the country into confusion.
Mr. Lanre said, “The judiciary is an important institution and its integrity cannot be subjected to political machinations.
He, therefore, called on all meaning Nigerians to see this ploy calculated by the PDP do not succeed in it agenda of throwing Nigeria into backwardness, where he called on all responsible citizens to defend the corporate existence of the Nigerian state.
Issa-Onilu expressed the party’s confidence that the Supreme Court would further and finally affirm President Muhammadu Buhari’s election victory.
