BREAKING: President Buhari and Chadian President meeting In Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently holding bilateral talks with the President of the Republic of Chad, Idriss Deby at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. President Deby arrived at the State House forecourt about 12:15 pm and he was welcomed by his host President Buhari, who introduced some members of his cabinet to him. Those with President Buhari at the reception of the guest include the National Security Adviser, Major GenralAliyuMongono (retd), the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, the Director-General National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ahmed Rufa’I, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mohammed Bello and the Nigerian Ambassador to Chad.

Petrol Subsidy: We Shall Make Our Position Known Tomorrow – NGF

The 36 Governors in Nigeria under the auspice of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) has disclosed that they will make their position known tomorrow, Wednesday on the issue of petroleum subsidy that is creeping back into the economy and the covid-91 vaccine. The governors made this known through a statement yesterday issued in Abuja through its Head of Media and Public Affairs, Abdulrazaq Bello-Barkindo, saying the meeting slated to be held virtual. Bello-Barkindo said the meeting would be chaired by Governor Nasiru El-Rufa’i, the chairman of the NGF committee on subsidy on petrol, would brief his colleagues before any decision pertaining to supply or retailing of petroleum product is taken.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has on Thursday said the Nigerian economy has exited recession in the fourth quarter of 2020, recording its first growth in three quarters since the lifting of the COVID-19 linked lockdown.

Court Grants Sowore N20m Bail

A magistrate court sitting in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, has granted bail to Omoyele Sowore, convener of the Revolution Now Movement, in the sum of N20 million.
