China on Sunday displayed new lethal military hardware in a parade presided over by Xi Jinping as part of programmes to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The parade which was announced on Saturday came hours after Donald Trump criticized Beijing over failure to rein in North Korea to halt its Nuclear Programme.

The United States military on Sunday flew its B-1 bomber over the Korean Peninsula, in a move believed to be a clear response to the latest missile launch ordered by North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un.  Aljazeera on Sunday reported that two of the bomber jets were sent from Anderson Air Force Base IN Guam on a 10-hour round trip over the Peninsula.

Amazon founder/CEO, Jeff Bezos is the world's richest person, overtaking Bill Gates to become the world's richest person, worth $90.7bn (£69bn). A recent surge in Amazon shares on Thursday means Mr Bezos's wealth has now eclipsed the Microsoft co-founder by $700m, according to Forbes and Bloomberg.

The United States President, Donald Trump has disclosed that his administration will no longer allow transgender persons to serve in the US military. The President made this known on Wednesday in a series of tweets. He stated that the decision was a product of sustained consultations with serving and retired military Generals as well as experts in the security sector.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he would not allow transgender individuals to serve in the U.S. military in any capacity. "After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military," Trump wrote in a series of Twitter posts.
