The Nigerian government has disclosed an ongoing negotiation with the organizers of American Grammy Awards to establish an African version of the Grammy Awards.
The Honorable Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, revealed this on Tuesday.
Musawa stated that countries like Rwanda, South Africa and Kenya are championing the move to establish an African version of the Grammys which Nigeria won’t be an exception.
He Minister expresses concern that, Nigeria being the home of Afro-beats must be counted as one of the founding members of African Grammys.
