Plateau United on Sunday edged closer to clinching the Nigeria Professional Football League title for the first time since the creation of the team 41 years ago. The Peace Boys have one hand on the league cup as a top-of-the-table clash with MFM in Jos ended in 1-0 victory to open a six-point margin with four matches remaining.

Real Madrid Manager, Zinedine Zidane has left out Modric, Borja Mayoral and Marcos Llorente from the squad billed to prosecute the Sunday night's Supercopa de Espana tie against Barcelona at the Camp Nou. While Modric is still serving his ban, Mayoral and Llorente were missing in the lsit.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane confirmed on Saturday he will sign a contract extension in the near future with the club he has guided to back-to-back Champions League titles. “I’m happy because it’s a sign of confidence, that we have done good work,” Zidane told a pre-match press conference ahead of Real’s Spanish Super Cup showdown with Barcelona when quizzed on reports over his future.

Plateau United will host second-placed MFM FC in a top of the table and title defining match at the Rwang Pam township stadium, Jos.  The match day 34 matchup between the top two sides in the league could see Plateau United win the Nigeria Professional league for the first time since its establishment in 1975.
