Former Real Madrid and Chelsea coach, Carlo Ancelotti would take over from Maurizio Sarri as coach of Napoli, on a three-year deal, the Italian club confirmed on Wednesday. Ancelotti, sacked by Bayern Munich last September, steps in after Sarri was pushed out of the San Paolo Stadium after finishing second in Serie A behind Juventus.

The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has accused former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of cursing him after losing the governorship primary held this week.

The Governor in a statement issued by on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, explained that he had reached out to him to accept the outcome of the result in good faith before Adeyeye started cursing him.

“Not once have we negotiated for Griezmann nor do we have any intention to do so,” he said in a statement issued on the team’s official website. “A few months ago, I personally expressed to Barcelona’s president that our player isn’t for sale nor are we going to sell him,” he continued.

JOHESU Strike Sabotage: FG Warns Unions’ Members

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has cautioned that striking Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) have no constitutional right to harass other health workers not on strike or lock government facilities.

The minister gave the caution in a statement issued by Mr Oshundun Olajide, Deputy Director, Media and Public Relations of the ministry, on Tuesday in Abuja.

Olajide said the minister said this while reacting to a news briefing by the President, National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), Dr Ugochukwu Chinaka.

Apple has cancelled plans to build an 850 million euro ($1 billion) data centre in Ireland because of delays in the approval process that have stalled the project for more than three years, the iPhone maker said on Thursday. Apple announced plans in February 2015 to build the facility in the rural western town of Athenry to take advantage of green energy sources nearby, but a series of planning appeals, chiefly from two individuals, delayed its approval.

NCC, Telcos To Face Senate Panel Over Unsolicited Ads, Dropped Calls

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and telecommunication operators have been invited to face the Senate committee on communications over the issue of unsolicited adverts and dropped calls.

The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) and the Association of Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria (AAPN) were also invited by the Senate.

The upper legislative chamber also asked the NCC to sanction any entity that abuses regulatory guidelines.
