President Buhari Departs Nigeria To Cote d’Ivoire

President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Abuja, Nigeria on Tuesday, to attend the 5th European Union-African Union (EU-AU) Summit in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, on November 28 and 29.

Earlier on the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, made public a statement on Monday disclosing the President's scheduled trip to participate in working sessions of the EU-AU summit themed: “Investing in the Youth for a Sustainable Development.”

According to the statement, president Buhari is also to meet with several Heads of State of other African nations as well as their European Union counterparts on the margins of the summit.

The president would also attend the official luncheon in honour of visiting Heads of State and other delegations, which is to be hosted by the government of Cote d’Ivoire.
