Members of a factional Ohaneze Ndigboe Youths, have denied reports that the group had endorsed the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party. PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his Vice, Peter Obi ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Factional Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Okey Nwachukwu in a statement issued on Monday in Umuahia, the Abia state capital urged Nigerians to disregard reports that youths under the umbrella body had endorsed Atiku/Obi ticket.
“This is the handiwork of impostors, whom we demand their arrest. We are open to all presidential candidates from all political parties, including the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for consultations, insofar as Igbo interest will be protected.”
He said at the appropriate time, the group would make its decision known publicly.
