Facts have emerged on why President Muhammadu Buhari is reluctant to remove the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu following the rejection of his nomination by the Nigerian Senate. A source in the Presidency who craved anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the issue disclosed to Vigil360 that the President, Muhammadu Buhari has no confidence in the Police.

Yesterday the Presidency hailed the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for their touching and thoughtful goodwill message to the President, Muhammdu Buhari who is currently in London receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu who confirmed the receipt of the message by the President on Monday said.

More than 42 men have been arrested in Lagos over performing acts of homosexuality, the police in the state say. The state police spokesperson of the state police, Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the arrest to newsmen. They were arrested on Saturday at Vincent Hotel located at Weigh bridge in Owode Onirin area of the state.

The United Nations has set up a new Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) geared towards assisting those affected by the humanitarian crisis in northeast Nigeria caused by the destructive activities of the Boko Haram terrorists.The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mr Edward Kallon, said that the fund would prioritise life-saving assistance to victims of Boko Haram insurgency.
