Yesterday the Presidency hailed the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for their touching and thoughtful goodwill message to the President, Muhammdu Buhari who is currently in London receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu who confirmed the receipt of the message by the President on Monday said.

"The CAN President referred to the news of President Buhari’s recovery from sickness as a ‘rejuvenation of hope’ and congratulated Nigerians on the joy of having their President back soon”.

The statement added that such a message from a respected religious organization was apt and timely especially at a time when some unscrupulous elements were attempting to sow seeds of discord with their divisive rhetoric.
Shehu further thanked CAN for their continued Prayers and assured of the president's commitment to the unity and growth of the country.

“The Presidency looks forward to furthering collaborations with CAN to ensure that Nigerians of all ethnic and religious groups benefit from the policies of the President Buhari administration which are aimed at improving the welfare of every single citizen of our great country,”.
