Son-in-law and Chief of Staff to Governor Rochas Okorochas of Imo state, Uche Nwosu has said his father-in-law will not dictate to him how the affairs of the state should be managed when he becomes the governor in 2019. Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Sunday reversed the dissolution of the State Executive Council and the 21 local government Caretaker Committees minutes after issuing the directive. It was gathered that shortly after he gave this order, he made a U-turn about 10 minutes later, asking the affected officials to continue their work.

The remains of Aliyu Akwe-Doma, former Governor of Nasarawa State, on Saturday arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 11:15 p.m. According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the remains were transported in a Turkey Airline. The report added that the body was received at the airport by a delegation of the state government comprising commissioners, special advisers and interim management committee chairmen.

Mr Abubakar Madaki, a prosecution witness in the on-going trial of former Chairman, DAAR Communications Plc, Mr Raymond Dokpesi, told the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, that Dokpesi received money for rendering no services. Madaki, under cross-examination by Dokpesi’s counsel, Mr Kanu Agabi (SAN), said that:”Dokpesi was paid for doing nothing, for rendering no service. The witness said that the N2.1 billion, under investigation, was funds from the office of the National Security Adviser.
