Former Super Eagle coach Samson Siasia revealed that he had instituted an appeal against his football life ban by the world football body, FIFA.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Siasia was banned from football game by FIFA over his involvement in an alleged corruption for manipulating match-fixing probe by FIFA.
The legend footballer, who spoke to NAN in Abuja through his associate, Opukiri Jones-ere, said Siasia lawyers had approached the Court for Arbitration of Sport (CAS) for review of the case.
Siasia approached the court CAS, sitting in Switzerland demanding the court to direct FIFA to reverse its decision pending to when his submission is considered.
The former coach is determine to clear his name from all allegation levelled against him by FIFA which took him by surprise, which he claimed does not auger well with his reputation where he vows to pursue the case to a logical conclusion.
On August 16, FIFA revealed in a statement that the adjudicatory chamber of its independent ethics committee found the 51-year-old Siasia guilty.
The coach according to FIFA who was found “guilty of having given a nod that he will receive bribes in relation to manipulation of matches in violation of FIFA Code of Ethics.”
