President Buhari Condemns Killing Of US Embassy Staff, Policemen

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday condemned the killing of two American embassy officials and two Nigerian police officers in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, south-east Nigeria. Nigerian Troops Neutralise Terrorists, Recover Weapons

Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MJTF) operating in the Lake Chad Basin Region have neutralised several terrorists and recovered large cache of weapons. The MNJTF spokesman, Lt. Col. Kamarudeen Adegoke, in a statement on Sunday revealed that the latest successes were recorded under the renewed onslaught on the terrorists, code-named “Operation Harbin Kunama” (Scorpion sting). “The ongoing operation by troops of the MNJTF has further diminished the capacity of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists to carry out their activities in the Lake Chad Basin region,” the statement said. “The offensive posture and doggedness of troops of the MNJTF have continued to yield remarkable results.

Navy Issues Statement About Fake Maritime Security Outfits

The Nigerian Navy expressed concern over the increase in the number of illegal maritime security outfits in the country, adding that some of these security outfits use the uniforms of the Nigerian Navy while others use uniforms similar to the Navy. This was made known in a statement released on Friday by the Director of Naval Information, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan.

May 29 Inauguration: FAAN Directs Relocation of Aircrafts

Ahead of the May 29, 2023 inauguration of the new government, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has directed the immediate relocation of all aircraft parked at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja in order to improve the security of the airport.
