The Kaduna State Governor-elect, Uba Sani fires a strong warning to those scrupulous individuals that are planning to disrupt the peace of the Journalists and the good people of Kaduna as well, saying Journalists deserve to be celebrated as heroes rather. He said the preservation of the press should be sought through the constitution or other legal protection entities.

In a statement issued on World Press Freedom Day, Sani said, “Such freedom which implies the absence of interference from the state; would be preserved by my administration but such preservation should only be sought through the constitution or other legal protection and security.”

Uba said those days of unnecessary hooliganism in Kaduna will soon be history.

He added that there must be a free and safe media space in the state as long as He is the Governor of the state, "there are no two ways about it," Uba concluded.
