Borno Airtsrike: ISWAP Bans Farmers, Fishermen From Operation

Following the military airstrike that has lead to neutralising scores of terrorist, the Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP, terrorist has banned farmers and fishermen from operations in Marte Local Government Area, LGA, Borno state for being suspicious of playing a double agent. The terrorist has vowed to kill anyone found in villages like, Katikime, Bulungahe, Kutukungunla, Chikun Gudu, Tumbumma, Guma Kura, Guma Gana and New Marte, after accusing them of spying on their activities for the Nigerian military.

DSS Dismisses Online Media Allegations Against It

The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed series of allegations of highhandedness and unprofessionalism leveled against it on various online media platforms by SaharaReporters, Peoples Gazette and one Jackson Ude, among others. A statement issued via its official Twitter handle on Sunday by its spokesman Peter Afunanya described the reports as misleading, and hatchet jobs designed to smear or impeach the integrity of the Service and its leadership. 

Plateau Gov Imposes 24 Hours Curfew On Mangu LGA

The Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Mangu Local Government Area (LGA) over the recent killings in the community. This was revealed in a statement by the director of press and public affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has reported a fresh attack on some communities in Mangu LGA in the late hours of Saturday, leading to the displacement of many indigenes, the death of about nine persons, and the destruction of properties.

ICPC Dispels Media Report Alleging Raid Of Its Office and CCB By The DSS

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has denied media reports that the Department of State Services (DSS) carted away incriminating files relating to President Bola Tinubu from its facility and that of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB). The commission emphatically stated that the ICPC never possessed files implicating Tinubu at its headquarters or offices across the states, adding that the alleged carting away of such ‘imaginary files’ was unfounded and should be disregarded by the public.
