Coronavirus: 195 Confirmed New Cases Recorded In Nigeria, Toll Now 3,145

The Nigerian government had on Wednesday recorded 195 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,145.

 

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known through its website.

The agency revealed five more patients died of the deadly virus related complication, making the death toll now to 103 persons.

The NCDC said the 195 new cases were recorded from 13 states.

The agency in its statement partly reads, “on the 06th of May 2020, 195 new cases of the COVID-19 and five deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

“No new state has reported a case in the last 24hrs.

‘Till date, 3145 cases have been confirmed, 534 cases have been discharged and 103 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 195 new cases were reported from 13 states distributed as follows; Lagos(82), Kano(30), Zamfara(19), Sokoto(180), Borno(10), FCT(9), Oyo(8), Kebbi(5), Gombe(5), Ogun(4), Katsina(3), Kaduna(1) and Adamawa(1).”
