A Columbian man, Juan Carlos Garcia, has reportedly shot his wife and her secret lover dead after catching them having sex in his matrimonial home. The angry husband had suspected his wife Sandra Castellanos, 39, was having an affair while he worked nightshifts as a security guard in Colombia. The husband returned home suddenly after he left for work at 9pm and reportedly shot the lovers dead with a handgun on Friday while their three children slept in another room.
At 9.05pm Juan Carlos Garcia called his wife to ask about his three children, she answered the call and told him that they had gone to bed early because they had to leave for school, the police said.
"The suspect Juan Carlos Garcia found his wife making love with her. The husband was filled with anger and killed them both. Police in South America have now charged Garcia with the murders. He handed himself in to police and said that he did not feel remorse for what he had done. Garcia is alleged to have told officers: "She was unfaithful and sullied my honour as a man. All I did was remove the woman who destroyed my life in this world."
Police say he has been remanded in custody and will face court hearings at a later date.
