Sister of Slain Al-Baghdadi Arrested – Turkish Official

The Turkish official has today claimed to have captured, Rasmiya Awad, 65, a sister to the dreaded Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the ISIS terrorist leader and is undergoing interrogation.

Reuters report Rasmiya was captured on Monday with her husband, her daughter in-law and five children in a raid near the Turkish controlled Northern Syrian town of Azaz.

According to the official, they hope to obtain a usable intelligence from the Terror sister on the inner working of ISIS.

Fahrettin Altun, the communications director of President Tayyip Erdoğan, described the arrest as “yet another success story of their counter-terrorism operations”.

The communication director revealed their government determination to bring Terrorist who seek to destabilize public peace to Justice in the region, he wrote on his tweeter account; “We have been leading in the fight against terrorism in all its forms.”

Baghdadi blew himself last month when he was cornered in a tunnel during a raid by the U.S troops in north western Syria. Subsequently, ISIS confirmed in an audio report his death where the terror group vow to retaliation on the US.

Baghdadi who raise from shadows to lead the dreaded terror group where he declare himself “caliph” of all Muslims, holding sway curving himself a large territory of Iraq and  HYPERLINK "https://www.theguardian.com/world/syria" Syria from 2014 to 2017 before the control was wrested away from him by US-led coalition forces including Iraqis and Syrian Kurds.

ISIS has named a successor to Baghdadi identified as Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi who is now the confirmed leader of the group. A senior US official had last week disclosed that officials were looking at the new leader to ascertain where he is coming from.
