BET 2023: Burna Boy Wins Best International Award

Nigerian musician, Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name, Burnaboy has benched all his co-contestants to take home the award of Best International Act at the 2023 edition of Black Entertainment Award, BET. The ‘African Giant’ rock-star floored the likes of Central Cee, Stormy, Ayra and Starr among others to clinch the most converted category of BET award.

Though, Burna Boy was present during the show when he was declared as winner of the trophy, his mother, Bose Ogulu, received the award on his behalf.

Bunaboy has had a similar award in last couple of years.

His 2022 album ‘Love, Damini’ was a worldwide success, and he already took home a BET Award in the same category in 2019 and 2021.

Other nominees in the category were Aya Nakamura, Ayra, Central Cee, K.O, Stormzy, Ella Mai, Tiakola, L7nnon and Uncle Waffles.
