Contrary to earlier reports that West Ham United had almost sealed a deal with Nigerian wonder lad, Kelechi Iheanacho, emerging reports suggest that Leicester City are now favorite to land the Manchester City forward.

According to a report published by Leicester Mercury, the odds on the Nigerian striker joining City have been cut from 16/1 to just 4/6 by bookmakers Bet Victor. The deal is believed to be worth around £20 million.

Iheanacho thrilled Manchester City fan at the beginning of last season scoring crucial goals for the club. His fortune however dropped following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus, a development that led to the benching of City's star striker, Sergio Aguero.

Last season, Ihenacho made a total of 46 appearances in all competition, starting only 12 games. He scored a 12 goals in all competitions and was tagged the most prolific striker in Europe having scored in every 81.3 minutes he has played.
