Chelsea medical staff said French midfielder, N’golo Kante is fit to return from his hamstring injury and would be eligible for selection as Chelsea lock horns with Manchester United this weekend. The France international who last featured for Chelsea in their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City picked up the injury during the last international break. Kante suffered a hamstring injury in his national side’s penultimate World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria in Sofia.

According to Telegraph, Kante resumed training last week but declared himself unfit for selection against AS Roma. The playmaker has again compounded Conte’s woes by declaring himself half-fit against Manchester United, despite the verdict of the club’s medical staff.

Chelsea’s medical staff believe they can help the player be ready when Jose Mourinho’s returns to his former club with United. They are hoping to convince the player that his recent hamstring injury will not come in his way when his side takes on the Red Devils.

Without Kante, Chelsea have lost crucial matches as Bakayoko struggles to fill the gap left by his absence.
