Belgium Coach, Robert Martinez said Charly Musonda has no right to moan about his lack of playing time at Chelsea after rejecting an offer to go on loan. Martinez’s statement is coming after reports emerged linking the Belgium Under-21 star with a move to Arsenal in January.

Musonda who recently took to the social media to criticize his club has only made five appearances this season and has reportedly been in contact with Arsenal. The Belgium Coach said he has little sympathy for the player as he should have embraced the loan offer at the beginning of the season in order to enjoy playing time.

In an interview, Martinez told French publication SoFoot “We all know his talent, but he’s reached a period in his life where he needs to play. In fact, the club wanted to loan him, but he didn’t want to go because he thought he would be playing.

“In that case, it’s quite hard to moan about your situation. You need to distinguish two things with young players. Their potential and their performances.” Musonda is under contract until 2019.
