Former Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o has revealed Real Madrid new signing of Eden Hazard is similar as the Barcelona star, Lionel Messi and should win the Ballon D’Or prize. Hazard has completed his 88million pounds move to Santiago Bernabeu from Chelsea earlier this summer.

Before moving to Spain, Hazard helped Chelsea to clinch third in the Premier League last season with 16 goals and 15 assists, while Messi scored 36 goals and 13 assists for Ernesto Valverde’s men in the Spanish top-flight.

While the Argentine star chases his sixth Ballon d’Or triumph, Eto’o is optimistic about Hazard’s chances of winning the popular individual award now that he is in Madrid.

In his remarks, “Hazard has to win the Ballon d’Or.

Eto’o opined that Hazard has not been valued enough in recent time; however, since the star player is at one of the global best team now, he is expected to be the golden fish.

Speaking to Radio Marca, Eto’o added that since Hazard is the closest star player to Messi, he hopes that he plays Barcelona when he is not at his best.
