The present FIFIA international break has been very eventful with players granting series of interviews and making revelations about their clubs and teammates. Recently, Sergio Ramos openly criticized his teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo over claims that the exit of Alvaro Morata, James Rodriquez and Pepe may be partly responsible for the ongoing problem confronting Real Madrid. Ronaldo had explained that the current Madrid squad was made up of players with little experience.

Irked by Ronaldo's comment, Ramos described Ronaldo's interview as opportunistic and stressed that he is not a team player but concentrates more on individual awards. Ramos added that Ronaldo's attitude was responsible for the perceived hatred he suffers in the team.

Apart from Ramos, Karim Benzema has described the Portuguese international as too selfish but claimed that they both get along well. "Ronaldo is more selfish than me, but that's normal. We get along well, I like to play with him. In the end, his selfishness doesn't bother me, it is good for the team."

Commenting on the reactions of the fans as Real Madrid continues the quest form rediscovery of the form that saw them win the Champions League successively, Benzema told Canal Plus "It's difficult, especially in Spain, where sometimes you don't understand it. The hardest part is when the criticism comes from your own fans. They are normally there to boost you."
