The Nigeria Football Federation board on Monday dissolved its standing committees with the exception of the Disciplinary and Appeal Committees. The board at the end of its meeting in Abuja said the committees would be reconstituted in a few weeks.

In a communiqué after the meeting, the body also approved the composition of an Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit in the NFF.

It read in part, “The Executive Committee approved the dissolution of all standing committees of the (NFF), with the exception of the judicial bodies: (NFF) Appeal Committee and NFF Disciplinary Committee. The standing committees will be reconstituted in a few weeks.

“This is out of the keen determination to comply with government’s due process and procedures, and as a way of further entrenching accountability and transparency in the execution of all (NFF) businesses.’’
