A Coalition of Civil Society Organizations made up of Centre for Civil Society and Justice among others stormed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday in support of President Muhammadu Buhari. The leader of the group, Nelson Ekujumi who adedressed newsmen during the solidarity rally in support of the President, stated that the President has not violated any constitutional provision having transmitted a letter to the National Assembly before his departure from the country.

He described the call for President Buhari's resignation as unfortunate stressing that the proponents were acting in ignorance.

Ekujumi further maintained that contrary to media reports, there was no vacuum in the Presidency as the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was effectively discharging the duties of the Office of the President as prescribed by the Constitution. He claimed that those seeking the resignation of the President, were acting the script of politicians who are desperate for power.

The rally came two days after another group of Protesters led by Deji Adeyanju and 'Charly Boy' embarked on a protest seeking the 'Return or Resignation' of the President.
